Today is Consecration Day!  Our spiritual father St. Joseph is lord, chief and guardian of the treasures of heaven.  Love, trust and honor St. Joseph for the rest of your life!  Go to him in times of plenty and times of poverty - good times and in bad - he’ll be your guardian, your strength and your certainty of not being lost.  When you’re alone, mourning or tempted - run to St. Joseph - he’ll never be far from you.  We end our 33-day journey with our Act of Consecration prayer to St. Joseph...

O my Spiritual Father - we hereby consecrate ourselves to you.  In faithful imitation of Jesus and Mary, we place ourselves and all of our concerns under your care and protection.  To you, after Jesus and Mary, consecrate our body and soul, with all their faculties, our spiritual growth, our homes, and all of our undertakings.  Do not forsake us but rather adopt us as a servant and child of the Holy Family.  Watch over us at all times, but especially at the hour of our death.  Console and strengthen us with the presence of Jesus and Mary so that, with you, I may praise and adore the Holy Trinity for all eternity.  Amen.

Day 32 of Morning Light's on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Protector of the Holy Church, Pray for Us.”  The Church needs the protection of St. Joseph.  The Church is being assaulted from not only those outside of it - Satan and the world - but also many of her own children inside of it.  In fact, St. Pope Paul VI made the claim in June of 1972 that “the smoke of Satan has entered the Church.”  The only way to clear the smoke and make the Church beautiful again is to repent and return to order.

Morning Light presents Day #31 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Father Donald Calloway.  Today - “Terror of Demons, Pray for Us.”  We know that demons fear Jesus and Mary...but demons are also absolutely terrified of St. Joseph!  Why?  He is the spouse of the Immaculata and the father of Jesus Christ.  He is the gateway to Jesus and Mary.  Demons have plenty to be afraid of in the person of St. Joseph.

Morning Light presents Day 30 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Patron of the Dying, Pray for Us.”  St. Joseph died a holy and happy death - gazing upon Jesus and resting in the arms of Mary.  What greater death could a person experience?  God has designated St. Joseph as the Patron of the Dying because He wants us to also experience a happy and holy death.  We need the intercession of our spiritual father to fortify us, protect us and fill us with trust in God’s love and mercy.

Donald Calloway.  Today, “Hope of the Sick, Pray for Us.”  St. Joseph offers hope in times of sickness.  If you or someone you know is sick, go to St. Joseph.  Jesus wants you to go to your spiritual father and ask him for help and healing.  It’s up to God whether or not a physical healing will be given but it doesn’t hurt to ask.  Whether you experience healing or not, St. Joseph always offers hope for an illness-free life in heaven

Donald Calloway.  Today, “Model of Workmen, Pray for Us.”  Lucifer hates work which is why he initiated his attack on the human family in the workplace - the garden God gave Adam & Eve to tend.  Jesus did manual labor for many years before beginning his public ministry.  Why?  Because he wanted to sanctify work and teach us that it's honorable and pleasing to God.  This doesn’t mean we should become work-aholoics - there must always be time for recreation, rest and worship.

Morning Light presents Day 23 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Lover of Poverty, Pray for Us.”  St. Joseph was unpretentious in the eyes of the world.  He had no worldly ambition or desire for recognition.  When they returned to Nazareth, the Holy Family lived for almost 30 years in a house that was simple and small.  The person who is detached from material things is truly blessed in spirit and rich in the sight of God which explains why Joseph is called “Lover of Poverty.”

Morning Light presents Day 20 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Joseph Most Obedient, Pray for Us.”  St. Joseph is a model of obedience.  Obedience requires trust.  Lack of trust on the part of our first parents, Adam & Eve, is what caused mankind to fall into sin.  Our new parents, Mary & Joseph, trusted God and were willing to suffer for their obedience to God.  They were certain that God had their best interests in mind.  Everyone needs to be obedient to both natural and divine law and of course everyone should also trust and obey God.

Morning Light presents Day 19 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Joseph Most Courageous, Pray for Us.”  St. Joseph lived entirely for love of Jesus Christ and, after Mary, is Jesus’ most faithful disciple.  It takes courage to be a faithful disciple of Jesus.  Many are willing to follow when it’s pleasant but not when things become difficult or filled with sorrow.  Joseph was always faithful, always courageous.  He feared nothing other than offending God and exercised tremendous fortitude in his protection of Jesus and Mary.

Morning Light presents Day 18 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Saint Joseph Most Prudent.”  What is prudence (besides a song by the Beatles)?  In modern times, many people consider it to be a vice or a flaw.  In moral matters, they are quite often called a prude.  However, prudence is a virtue - the Catechism defines it as the virtue that disposes practical reason to discern our true good in every circumstance and to choose the right means of achieving it.  Without prudence, a person will be either too lenient or too harsh.

Morning Light presents Day 17 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Joseph Most Chaste, Pray for Us.”  St. Francis de Sales said, “Who can ever understand how great St. Joseph had to be in this virtue of virginity who was destined by the Eternal Father to be the guardian, or rather the companion, of Mary’s virginity?”  In the Gospel of Luke it says “Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”  St. Joseph has three treasures: Jesus, Mary...and YOU!
