This edition of COLLAR TALK is focused on the upcoming holiday of Thanksgiving as Fr. Caleb and Fr. Justin share memories and musical selections for this wonderful time of year to give thanks to our Lord.  Also, if you want Fr. Caleb's recipe for the Double Layer Pumpkin Pie, it is listed below - just in time for the big day.  Enjoy!

Double Layer Pumpkin Pie

4 oz softened cream cheese
1 tbls milk or half and half
1 tbls sugar
1.5 cups Cool Whip
1 cup milk or half and half
2 packages Instant Vanilla Pudding (4 serving size)
1 16 oz can pumpkin
1 tsp cinnamon
.5 tsp ginger
.25 tsp cloves

Mix cream cheese, milk and sugar I to a bowl and whisk until smooth.

Gently stir in whip topping.

Spread onto bottom of crust.

Prepare pudding
Mix pumpkin and spices
Mix pudding an pumpkin together.

Spread over cream cheese

Refrigerate for 3 hours.

   Congratulations to the Bishop Kelly Knights for winning back-to-back 4A State Championships in football!  BK faced the Blackfoot Broncos at Holt Arena in Pocatello ... after a hard-fought battle, the Knights scored the winning touchdown with just 30-seconds left in the game to wrap up a 14-10 victory.

   ON TO STATE!  Due to weather, Friday night's contest was moved to a 1pm kick-off on Saturday at Nick Ysursa Field.  The Knights hosted the Rigby Trojans in the 4A semi-finals.  After a hard-fought game in cold, snowy conditions...Bishop Kelly came out on top with a 23-14 win to earn a spot in the State Championship game!

   Two weeks after being blown out 39-9 by Skyview, Bishop Kelly again hosted the Hawks during the 2nd round of the 4A State Playoffs.  This time, different result...the Knights cruised to a 38-14 victory and will move onto the next round.

Earlier today, a press conference was held at the Diocese of Boise as our new Bishop was introduced.  Salt & Light Radio was there to broadcast that event live and have a recording to play back during tonight’s CATHOLIC IDAHO (in case you missed it.)  We will also hear an interview with Mike Brown, Communications Director for the Diocese.  Plus, Fr. Caleb Vogel’s homily from this past Sunday - All Soul’s Day ... “Five For the Faith” with Fr. Mike St. Marie … and with today being Election Day, we delve into Mother Angelica Live Classics (10/27/92) for some sound wisdom about politicians.
