     John Vitz from Angelus Music returns to Morning Light as part of our weekly "Sacred Music" segment. As Easter draws near, so does Holy Thursday and the Institution of The Holy Eucharist. John talks about The Last Supper as the first Mass as we share two songs from the CD "A Mass for Peace in the Third Millennium."  The first one is  "Pax Vobiscum / Agnus Dei"  [CUT 20] which are 2 prayers sung together as one.  The second song is "Ecce Agnus Dei"  [CUT 21] and includes the reception of Holy Communion and the words said by the priest, prior to Vatican II, when we received the Sacrament.

     Paul Ford joins Morning Light today to talk about Catholic education. He shares the story of a Supreme Court ruling regarding Catholic Education and how the Knights of Columbus got involved in this historical decision. This is the case about the Society of Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, and the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on June 1, 1925, against an Oregon law requiring children to attend public schools which was ruled unconstitutional. This ruling was important since the Oregon law was primarily intended to eliminate parochial schools.
