Morning Light presents Day 30 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Patron of the Dying, Pray for Us.”  St. Joseph died a holy and happy death - gazing upon Jesus and resting in the arms of Mary.  What greater death could a person experience?  God has designated St. Joseph as the Patron of the Dying because He wants us to also experience a happy and holy death.  We need the intercession of our spiritual father to fortify us, protect us and fill us with trust in God’s love and mercy.

Morning Light presents Day 29 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Hope of the Sick, Pray for Us.”  St. Joseph offers hope in times of sickness.  If you or someone you know is sick, go to St. Joseph.  Jesus wants you to go to your spiritual father and ask him for help and healing.  It’s up to God whether or not a physical healing will be given but it doesn’t hurt to ask.  Whether you experience healing or not, St. Joseph always offers hope for an illness-free life in heaven

Morning Light presents Day #28 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Comfort of the Afflicted, Pray for Us.”  As we know, the Church has 7 Spiritual Works of Mercy and 7 Corporal Works of Mercy.  These works of mercy help us to be devout followers of Jesus Christ by serving others.  We will all experience misery, suffering and tears in this life - isn’t it good to know we have someone to turn to for comfort and solace in those difficult times?

Morning Light presents Day 27 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Pillar of Families, Pray for Us.”  Jesus, Mary and Joseph love families - their 3 hearts are very concerned about what is happening to families today.  Modern man has distanced himself from God in an attempt to re-define what it means to be a family.  God established the family to be a school of love - something beautiful, delightful and life-giving.

Morning Light presents Day 24 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Model of Workmen, Pray for Us.”  Lucifer hates work which is why he initiated his attack on the human family in the workplace - the garden God gave Adam & Eve to tend.  Jesus did manual labor for many years before beginning his public ministry.  Why?  Because he wanted to sanctify work and teach us that it's honorable and pleasing to God.  This doesn’t mean we should become work-aholoics - there must always be time for recreation, rest and worship.

Morning Light presents Day 23 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Lover of Poverty, Pray for Us.”  St. Joseph was unpretentious in the eyes of the world.  He had no worldly ambition or desire for recognition.  When they returned to Nazareth, the Holy Family lived for almost 30 years in a house that was simple and small.  The person who is detached from material things is truly blessed in spirit and rich in the sight of God which explains why Joseph is called “Lover of Poverty.”

Morning Light presents Day 20 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Joseph Most Obedient, Pray for Us.”  St. Joseph is a model of obedience.  Obedience requires trust.  Lack of trust on the part of our first parents, Adam & Eve, is what caused mankind to fall into sin.  Our new parents, Mary & Joseph, trusted God and were willing to suffer for their obedience to God.  They were certain that God had their best interests in mind.  Everyone needs to be obedient to both natural and divine law and of course everyone should also trust and obey God.

Morning Light presents Day 19 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Today, “Joseph Most Courageous, Pray for Us.”  St. Joseph lived entirely for love of Jesus Christ and, after Mary, is Jesus’ most faithful disciple.  It takes courage to be a faithful disciple of Jesus.  Many are willing to follow when it’s pleasant but not when things become difficult or filled with sorrow.  Joseph was always faithful, always courageous.  He feared nothing other than offending God and exercised tremendous fortitude in his protection of Jesus and Mary.
