   "Knights News" is a weekly segment on Morning Light and features members of the Knights of Columbus across southern Idaho.  Brian Simer talks today about the 10th annual Coats For Kids drive.  Knights Councils from both the Treasure and Magic Valleys will give out hundreds of coats to kids in need this weekend, just in time for the winter weather right around the corner!

   Morning Light has a studio full of Idaho Lay Dominicans!  David Charnock, Mike Turner and John Keenan talk about Liturgical Prayer on the program.  Can we carve out at least 20-minutes to begin our day in prayer?

   "Cooking with Scripture" is a weekly segment on Morning Light with Chef Lou Aaron from Westside Drive-In.  Today, he prepares a delicious walnut bread topped with honey, Greek yogurt and fresh fig jelly.  The fig has many meanings in Scripture - tune in and find our more about this versatile fruit from Biblical times.

   With the weekly focus on Catholic education, Morning Light welcomes Tony Quilici to the show.  Tony is the Principal of St. Joseph's Catholic School, located next door to St. John's Cathedral.

   Each Monday morning, the second half-hour of Morning Light will be dedicated to Catholic education.  The first part of that is St. Nicholas Catholic School in Rupert.  We chat with Principal Wes Remaley on the phone about the school's philosophy and how they strive to provide a high-quality Christian education to their students K-6.  St. Nicholas School is also a qualified ministry during the #iGiveCatholic campaign on November 27th.  Find out ways you can financially support the school during our interview with Mr. Remaley.

   Each Monday morning, the second half-hour of Morning Light will be dedicated to Catholic education.  Our final segment is with Principal Mike Caldwell from Bishop Kelly High School.  There have been a lot of new and exciting changes at BK this school year.  From the opening of a new science and tech wing to a new bell schedule to new staff members, Mr. Caldwell touches upon what's new for the Knights.

   Monday's edition of Morning Light opens with a segment called "Weekend Re-cap."  Part of that piece today is an interview with Major League relief pitcher Cody Allen, who was a keynote speaker at the David's Hope Fall Banquet in Meridian this past Saturday night.  Learn about the loss and healing experienced by Cody and his wife, Mallory.

   The #iGiveCatholic campaign is coming up on November 27th, a day known as Giving Tuesday.  In our "Getting to Know Us" segment of Morning Light, we invite Marc Schlegel to help us get to know Corpus Christi House, a day shelter in Boise.  Learn about the amazing work they do with our homeless and find out how you can help them financially on the 27th.

   Another close game against the Falcons!  Bishop Kelly capitalized on a couple of Vallivue turnovers en route to a 34-27 victory in the 4A State Semi-Final.  The Knights will now face...the KNIGHTS (Hillcrest High School) for the title.

   "The Coaching Educator" - Rebecca M. Carroll - stops by Morning Light to share a bunch of silly letters and acronyms such as EFC and FAFSA.  However, these are important forms and your high school students need them filled out to qualify for grants and scholarships to college.

   David O'Neill is with Bengal Catholics on the campus of Idaho State University.  On his way to Boise this weekend for the YACC, he talks to "Morning Light" via cell phone about all the wonderful ministry work going on in Pocatello.  November 27th is the #iGiveCatholic campaign and David shares some of the ways you can help the St. John Catholic Student Center with your donation.
