Catholic Counseling is a weekly segment of Morning Light, where we've assembled a panel of experts to help Catholics maintain good mental health. Today, from Cornerstone Psychological Associates in Boise, we welcome back Kathy Edwards, talking about those pesky New Year's Resolutions. Why do we make them? How long do we typically keep them and what gets in the way of us keeping them? Are there some more productive resolutions we can make instead?

"Cooking With Scripture" is a weekly segment of Morning Light hosted by Chef Lou Aaron, owner of the Westside Drive-In and a Deacon of Our Lady of the Rosary parish in east Boise. Today, the lesson is from Hosea regarding "the unturned cake" - while our co-hosts delight in homemade wheat germ pancakes (with oatmeal & crushed banana for flavoring) covered with ghee and fresh maple syrup, Deacon/Chef Lou explains how we can be burned by sin on one side because we don't turn over towards God.
