"Cooking With Scripture" is a weekly segment of Morning Light hosted by Chef Lou Aaron, owner of Westside Drive-In and a Deacon at Our Lady of the Rosary parish in SE Boise. Today, while Brian & Hope enjoy some delicious barley with apples, figs and cinnamon...Chef Lou reads from the Book of Deuteronomy 8:8, highlighting the seven species: wheat, barley, grape, fig, pomegranates, olive (oil), and date (date honey). Only the first fruits were acceptable offerings in the Temple.
